Jordan Miller
I am a writer, editor, and photographer who strives to empower authenticity through compassion and curiosity.
I am deeply drawn to the beautifully unconventional. I have a peculiar perspective that, when paired with curiosity and compassion, has led me to be enamored by authenticity. I strive to see things as they are; raw, unfiltered, and individual. In my work, I aim to honor this individuality, because I believe it is our differences that make us compelling. To me, the beauty of humanity lies in its vast range of voices and perspectives, and capturing even a fraction of that is both a privilege and a purpose.
Experiences and Qualifications
I am currently a student studying at Washtenaw Community College with plans to attend the University in Fall 2027 to study English literature, journalism, and media. Poetry is my passion, but I adore any and all forms of writing, including copy editing. Working with both film and digital cameras, photography has quickly become a very important pursuit of mine. My practices fuel and support one another, allowing me to create more creative projects, with deeper emotion and resonation.
Values
My values will always be at the forefront of my practice. To me, it is important that both my work and personal life align with these values, consisting of:
- Being driven by curiosity and the deep desire to understand.
- Meeting everything with empathy and compassion.
- A keen admiration and appreciation for the authentic, eclectic, and esoteric.
- Practicing openmindedness.
- Prioritizing human involvement in all positions, especially creative and artistic endeavors.
- The emphasis of how individualism is foundational to human kind.
As a collaborator, I make promises to both my partners, and myself. My manifestos clearly outline these promises. I encourage you to read these works to better undestand me as an artist.
